How to use the App

The app is easy to use, once you open the app, you have an input field where you can type in any URL of your store and start a speed analysis. Only URL of your store can be analyzed. The app also has different buttons to let you test crucial pages of your store: Frontpage, Collections and Product pages.

The analysis starts and can take few minutes for very slow sites with a lot of content. The analysis gives you many details and insights on what parts of your theme you can improve and change to make your site load faster.
The first section gives you an extensive list of resources(files) loaded by your store. These resources include images, scripts, stylesheets, ajax requests... All the main resource types are detected even resources loaded dynamically by scripts. For each resource, you can see the load time as well as the resource size. This information is very valuable since it lets you know which resources take most bandwidth as well as the resources that take the longer to load. You'll be able to find out which apps/plugins are making your store load slower and more. The network information given is approximate and may vary since it depends on several factors such as server load, response time...
Running the analysis few times will let you know which resources always come up first in load time.

The app then analyzes several aspects of your store and gives you very important insights and tips to let you know how to improve your speed performance. These tips are often technical and require that you do modifications to your theme code or images.
The tips are however very good to let you save time by directly giving you the important advices that will let you improve your store loading speed.
The tips also give you information on what scripts or images are faulty in the different aspects of the analysis.
